Addressing Discrimination

Students at SPU

It is the policy of Seattle Pacific University not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or genetic information in its programs or activities, as required by applicable laws and regulations.  The University has different procedures for addressing discrimination and harassment depending on the situation.

For formal complaints alleging sexual harassment that are subject the rules of 34 CFR 106.45, the University’s Title IX Sexual Harassment Grievance Process applies.

For other complaints of discrimination or discriminatory harassment by the University, the University’s Discrimination and Harassment Grievance Procedure generally applies.

Situations involving discrimination or harassment by one undergraduate student against another generally will be addressed pursuant to the Student Accountability Process.
